Aviation Finance Associate - 5+ PQE

A leading international practice is looking to appoint a talented Aviation Finance Associate with at least 5+ PQE to join its expanding London team on an interim basis.

The opportunity

The successful candidate will work closely with a highly respected partner on a broad range of sophisticated aviation finance matters. The team advises on complex domestic and cross‑border transactions for a global client base, including major financial institutions, lessors, airlines, manufacturers and government‑linked entities.

Work will span a wide variety of structures, such as:

• Operating and finance lease arrangements
• JOL and other tax‑driven leasing structures
• Secured and unsecured lending
• Export credit supported financings
• Structured finance transactions
• Fleet acquisition, renewal and procurement projects

Person specification

The firm are seeking someone who:

• Is a qualified solicitor with 5+ PQE at a respected City or specialist firm
• Strong drafting skills and confidence managing transactional processes
• A commercially minded, solutions‑focused approach
• Clear, professional communication and the ability to build strong client relationships
• A proactive, organised working style and the ability to manage competing deadlines
• A solid academic background
