Family Law - (Senior) Associate Solicitor or FCILEx - Wiltshire - 5+ Years PQE
Location: Wiltshire
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time or Part-time (minimum 4 days per week, hybrid working available)
Salary: £55,000 to £70,000 (depending on experience)
A well established and award winning regional law firm is seeking an experienced Family Lawyer with a minimum of 5 years' post qualification experience to join its growing Family Law team in Wiltshire. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a key role within a supportive, modern, and ambitious practice.
The Role
You'll be responsible for managing a full and varied caseload of private family law matters, including:
- Divorce and dissolution proceedings
- Financial remedy matters
- Private law children matters (all areas)
- Pre and post nuptial agreements
- Separation agreements
- Cohabitation agreements
- Non molestation and occupation order applications
- Providing strategic, practical, client focused advice from instruction to conclusion
- Drafting pleadings, agreements, and complex court documents
- Conducting advocacy where appropriate
- Negotiating settlements and utilising non court dispute resolution
- Ensuring high standards of compliance, file management, and client care
- Building and maintaining strong professional relationships with clients, counsel, and other professionals
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members where required
- Contributing to the ongoing development and growth of the family team
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to an experienced Family Lawyer who:
- Is a qualified solicitor or legal executive with at least 5 years PQE
- Has comprehensive experience across all areas of private family law
- Can manage a complex and sensitive caseload with minimal supervision
- Possesses strong technical knowledge of family law and procedure
- Demonstrates excellent drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills
- Communicates confidently and compassionately with clients
- Works effectively under pressure and meets deadlines
- Brings a solutions focused, client centred approach
- Ideally is a Resolution member, accredited mediator, or collaborative lawyer (desirable but not essential)
- Has supervisory experience (advantageous)
