Associate/Senior Associate - Projects, Infrastructure & Construction - Bristol- 3-6 Years PQE
Location: Bristol

Salary: £65,000 - £90,000

A leading national law firm is seeking an experienced Associate or Senior Associate to join its growing Projects, Infrastructure & Construction (PIC) team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile contentious and non-contentious construction matters across a range of sectors, including infrastructure, energy, real estate development, and the public sector.

The Role
You'll be responsible for a broad range of construction-related legal work, including:

  • Advising on complex contractual issues with appropriate Partner support
  • Representing clients in adjudication, arbitration, and Technology and Construction Court proceedings
  • Supporting clients on energy, infrastructure, housing, highways, and student accommodation projects
  • Advising on insolvency issues related to construction projects
  • Working with clients at all stages of the post-contract process
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Delegating to and mentoring Trainees and Paralegals
  • Supporting Partners on tenders and strategic planning
  • Participating in business development and contributing to team growth


Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified solicitor with:

  • 3-6 years PQE in contentious construction law (non-contentious experience also welcome)
  • Experience with complex construction disputes, including delay, disruption, defects, and payment claims
  • Familiarity with standard industry forms such as NEC, JCT, and FIDIC
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organisational skills
  • Commercial awareness and enthusiasm for business development
  • A collaborative mindset and ability to work independently
  • A client-focused approach and commitment to delivering high-quality legal advice
