Brand new instructions from my law firm client for a clinical negligence senior associate to come on board this superb team in Newport, South Wales.

With a reputation for punching well above its weight, you'll join a small close knit team with a reputation for excellence.

We're looking for a confident and experienced Clinical Negligence lawyer to step into a senior role with leadership responsibility. You'll manage complex cases, support junior fee-earners, and play a key role in driving departmental performance and growth.

What you'll be doing:

• Lead by example in delivering high-quality legal advice and client care
• Manage and supervise fee-earners and support staff, ensuring effective workload distribution
• Coach and mentor team members to support their development and performance
• Contribute to business development through client relationship management and networking
• Attend external events and represent the department in management meetings

What you'll bring:

• Qualified Solicitor (5+ years PQE) with strong clinical negligence experience
• Proven ability to manage caseloads and lead a team effectively
• Excellent communication, strategic thinking and decision-making skills
• Experience in coaching, delegation and conflict resolution
• Ability to balance competing priorities and maintain high standards under pressure
