Senior Associate - Clinical Negligence - Newport
Brand new instructions from my law firm client for a clinical negligence senior associate to come on board this superb team in Newport, South Wales.
With a reputation for punching well above its weight, you'll join a small close knit team with a reputation for excellence.
We're looking for a confident and experienced Clinical Negligence lawyer to step into a senior role with leadership responsibility. You'll manage complex cases, support junior fee-earners, and play a key role in driving departmental performance and growth.
What you'll be doing:
- Lead by example in delivering high-quality legal advice and client care
- Manage and supervise fee-earners and support staff, ensuring effective workload distribution
- Coach and mentor team members to support their development and performance
- Contribute to business development through client relationship management and networking
- Attend external events and represent the department in management meetings
What you'll bring:
- Qualified Solicitor (5+ years PQE) with strong clinical negligence experience
- Proven ability to manage caseloads and lead a team effectively
- Excellent communication, strategic thinking and decision-making skills
- Experience in coaching, delegation and conflict resolution
- Ability to balance competing priorities and maintain high standards under pressure
