Head of Residential Conveyancing
Location: WiltshireSalary: Competitive + bonus + excellent benefits
This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior leadership position at the helm of a high-performing, well-supported residential conveyancing team. You won't be handling your own caseload - instead, you'll focus on team leadership, strategic growth, and continuing to build on the department's reputation for delivering exceptional client service.

The ideal candidate will be someone who can lead from the front, bring out the best in people, and take this thriving residential conveyancing team to new heights. What You'll Be Doing
- Leading and inspiring the conveyancing team, providing clear direction and support
- Driving performance to meet departmental goals and strategic objectives
- Championing service excellence and continuous improvement across the department
- Supporting staff development alongside a dedicated Professional Support & Development Lawyer
- Reviewing and evolving systems and processes to keep things running efficiently
- Collaborating with other senior leaders on firm-wide initiatives
- Building relationships with local agents and referral sources to grow the department
- Monitoring departmental KPIs, profitability, and client service delivery
- Taking an active role in recruitment and onboarding
Requirements
- Strong leadership and people management experience
- Background and previous fee earning experience in residential conveyancing with excellent technical knowledge and expertise
- Commercially aware with strong business acumen
- A motivating communicator and team player
- Capable of solving problems and driving change where needed
- Confident in networking and building new relationships
- Legal qualification (Solicitor, CILEX or Licensed Conveyancer)
