Regulatory/Professional Discipline Solicitor
2 + PQE
£42,000 + DOE
Our client is recognised as one of the leading firms for providing services to a wide range of professional regulatory bodies.
They are now looking to recruit a solicitor to specialise in defendant fitness to practise work. The work requires managing an investigatory caseload where it is alleged that the registrant's fitness to practise is impaired through misconduct, competence or health issues and preparing those cases for hearings before panels and committees of the relevant regulators. You will work in a well established team under the supervision of an experienced partner. However, you will have control of your own caseload with responsibility for preparing and planning case strategy, interviewing key witnesses, preparing the case for trial and attending trial with counsel. This is interesting and varied work.
You will be assisted by your own paralegal who you will supervise and be able to delegate tasks to.
Ideally you will have had some experience in this practice area but our client would also be very interested in speaking to lawyers with a defendant pi, clinical or professional negligence background who would be interested in moving into this interesting and rewarding field.
This firm has an unrivalled reputation. Partners in the department are leaders in their field. Combined with this is a friendly, collegiate approach which makes for a good working environment. Flexible working has always been welcome and encouraged at this firm.
