Financial Services Regulation Lawyer - 2+ PQE

Location: Bristol

A leading law firm in the Bristol market is looking for a bright and commercially minded Financial Services Regulation Lawyer to join their notable Funds & Financial Regulations team.

The successful candidate will have the chance to get involved with a broad range of interesting financial work, including determining whether clients need to be FCA authorised and the options available, obtaining regulatory permission or identify alternative structures and make regulatory applications, ensuring clients conduct their business in a compliant manner in line with financial services law and regulation (including the FCA Handbook, PRA Rulebook, Payment Services Regulations and so on), developing new commercial partnerships and new distribution channels, and understanding and implementing regulatory change amongst many other things.

You will need good knowledge of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000, subordinate legislation and the FCA Handbook (including COBS, CASS, SYSC and SUP). The ideal candidate will have trained at a leading city, regional or national firm, and will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as commercial awareness.
