Their Employment Law team deals with a full range of Employment Law and wider HR issues, including providing day to day advice to employers, corporate and commercial support, training as well as a variety of Employment Tribunal litigation. They work closely with their clients to go further than just offering Employment Law advice but at all times working to really understand the ramifications that decisions could have for the wider business. They also offer advice for individuals on anything from settlement agreements to discrimination and harassment. The work is genuinely varied and rewarding and will suit someone who already has some strong, relevant Employment Law experience gained working in a strong regional team, ideally perhaps already with South Wales connections.
This new vacancy reports directly to the Head of Department so you will be based at the heart of the team, and you will be given the opportunity according to your own personal areas of interest to work across both non-contentious and contentious work, and also with plenty of opportunities for your development of your own advocacy experience if this appeals. The work day to day will include advising employers/employees across a range of matters including unfair dismissal claims, discrimination claims, TUPE transfers, business restructuring/redundancies, settlement agreements, company policies and procedures, dismissals and contractual issues etc. You will conduct Employment Tribunal litigation and get involved in the drafting of various HR policies and procedures.
Our client is looking for someone with strong experience but perhaps just as importantly the right individual with the right personal characteristics, so you will be career-minded and ambitious, happy to get involved as part of a large, expert team, and looking for opportunities to develop your own strong client relationships within your role.
