Professional Support Lawyer - Projects & Construction, 5+ PQE, London

Our client, a Top 50 International Law firm, has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced PSL to join its Projects & Construction Team in London.

You will assist the award-winning practice with information management, research, training and development. The team has a diverse client base in the construction, transport and infrastructure sectors, as well as in banking and financial services, distribution and logistics, education and health, hotels and leisure, defence, engineering and surveying, charities, retail and energy and natural resources. As one of the leaders in the construction legal field, you will be working alongside individually ranked experts and leading practitioners in their field by the legal directories, who advise on all construction/engineering related matters, from initial structuring, procurement advice, setting up contracts, appointments, joint ventures and development agreements.

You will work on a diverse range of know-how projects, including managing the know-how database and providing regular updates to the team; creating and maintaining precedents and guidance notes; working with the innovation team to develop internal initiatives relevant to construction law; assisting with the research, preparation and presentation of seminars and training workshops; co-ordinating and rolling out departmental training and development; undertaking legal research; sharing information with the firm's other PSLs and KM services as appropriate; working closely with Marketing and Bids on internal and external publications and client tenders; maintaining and developing relationships with external organisations; proactively monitoring and editing know-how to ensure that its quality and relevance is maintained; assisting in the preparation of client updates, alerts and briefings.

You will be an experienced Construction PSL or a qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 5 years PQE from a reputable practice and with in-depth knowledge in non-contentious construction; a good understanding of legal technology and a working knowledge of document automation processes; working knowledge of Microsoft applications and other web-based search engines; excellent drafting and organisational skills; and be an effective verbal and written communicator.

This role offers an attractive salary dependent on experience.
