Projects (Energy) Senior Associate, London
Excellent opportunity for an experienced Energy and Natural Resources lawyer to join the highly regarded Projects team at this popular national firm as a Senior Associate in London. The successful candidate will work on a diverse range of energy projects, that include renewable energy projects - solar, wind, waste to energy, CHP, bioenergy, landfill gas, hydro and marine. The team has many years' experience providing sector-focused advice on commercial agreements, finance agreements, project investment and regulatory matters for an array of clients including developers, financiers, owners, operators and energy utilities, and regularly assists international investors and contractors on projects in the Middle East and Africa as well as on outward investments by UK based clients on projects across EMEA.
You will be part of an established team, widely acknowledged as a leading adviser on the move to a decentralised and decarbonised energy industry and adoption of innovative energy solutions, addressing the dual challenges of the move to Net Zero and of balancing affordable and secure supply and demand as developed economies move towards a sustainable low carbon position. The team is also regarded as one of the elite national solar practices; has extensive involvement in the battery segment of the UK market; are trusted long-term advisers to many of the major UK energy utilities; and has strong relationships with many of the key investors in the energy sector.
The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience of energy projects, regulation and/or commercial energy arrangements, gained at a well-respected firm. You will benefit from high quality clients and work, with early responsibility and client exposure; an excellent technical training and a career development programme with clear expectations of your role and what it takes to progress.
