Fantastic opportunity for a talented and ambitious Intellectual Property lawyer to join the highly ranked team at this prestigious city law firm.
The top tier practice, comprising recognised and leading individuals in transactional IP, provides specialist advice to high profile clients on both domestic and international issues, as well as cross-border matters. The team advises on the full range of IP rights: trade marks, patents, copyright, database rights, designs, domain names and confidential information (including trade secrets). The team has particular expertise in the life sciences and consumer/retail brand sectors but is also active in technology, commodities/oil/gas and financial services.
The successful candidate will have significant IP transactions experience (ideally 3-6 years' PQE) with experience of drafting and negotiation of complex IP licences, collaboration and R&D agreements as well as on the IP aspects of mergers, acquisitions and investments and the IP aspects of commercial contracts such as manufacturing and distribution arrangements. You will have either experience in the life sciences sector or a genuine interest in learning more about the life sciences sector; the ability to deal with complex instructions directly and effectively; be able to build relationships both externally and internally with existing and new clients; be a creative thinker; and have a proven track record of identifying and pursuing business development opportunities.
