The work includes supporting on disputes arising from major international projects and covers litigation, arbitration and adjudication.
You will primarily support on contentious construction work, including carrying out adjudications, preparing claims assessments, supporting the London team on an ad hoc basis, including interviewing witnesses and preparing statements. Whilst the main focus of the role is on the contentious side, you will also be expected to support on non-contentious construction work, depending on business needs and capacity. Non-contentious work will include supporting on transactional due diligence, advising on procurement and supporting with contract preparation/management of deliverables.
In addition you will supervise the work of more junior solicitors and support the senior team with strategic management. You will also take the lead on certain projects.
You will have a minimum of 4 years PQE, the majority of which will be in contentious construction, including adjudication work. Some non-contentious construction experience, including standard forms of construction contract is highly desirable.
