Our Client a well regarded Telco organisation are looking for a legal counsel or solicitor to Roaming Services Legal Team for a (3 month) period in relation to legal matters arising in the business. This will include international roaming agreements, roaming wholesale business, roaming operations, and may also include new business projects, and/or technology projects. The candidate is also expected to contribute to the legal compliance programmes in roaming, our industry initiatives, and transformation initiatives. Furthermore, the candidate will work closely with the Corporate, Commercial and Compliance Legal team and Group Legal department. You will* Draft and advise on agreements in relation to the responsible areas (such as international roaming agreements, roaming wholesale and new business agreements) and support commercial colleagues in their negotiations to achieve contractual arrangements which accurately reflect business requirements* Provide advisory legal support in relation to the development and in-life management of roaming services (including, but not limited to advising on applicable law and regulation), and identifying and mitigating risks and solving legal challenges* Provide support in the compliance programme in roaming (in areas such as anti-bribery, sanctions, competition law, and data privacy) and in the initiatives to promote best practice* Work effectively and collaboratively with team members, and other teams and key stakeholders, including local market legal teams, other teams in Group Legal and External Affairs, Group Finance and business functions It would be nice if you have...* Commercial awareness, with experience of working as part of an international team/business. Ability to work at speed, and provide accurate, pragmatic advice and deliver results, and to manage workload with effective prioritisation* Strong presentation and interpersonal skills, ability to offer effective communication and legal advice* Strong team player, with track record of collaborative team working* Good knowledge of contract law and awareness of legal and commercial developments that may affect the business. You must have...* Professional legal qualification (legal counsel or solicitor)* Fluent in written and spoken English, with excellent communication skills* Relevant post-qualification experience in a commercial legal role dealing with complex matters and varied commercial agreements, compliance and other legal matters (ideally in technology or telecoms sector)* Experience in drafting, advising on and negotiating commercial contracts in English, and advising on compliance and/or regulatory matters in English* Proven problem solving and analytical skillsStrong experience in identifying risks and solving legal problems Daily rate payable up to £550 a day via an approved Umbrella co.
