Rapidly expanding fibre optics company that is delivering faster communication in large parts of the UK and is now seeking a Legal Counsel.

Reporting into the Senior Legal Counsel at Swish, legal counsel will be responsible for:

  • Drafting, negotiating, and advising on wide range of contracts, to include general commercial contracts (framework agreements, service agreements, design agreements, supplier agreements, NDAs, consultancy agreements, internal company agreements, wayleave agreements technology contracts etc).
  • Drafting and advising on our end customer contract(s) (both individuals and companies), ensuring compliance, where relevant, with consumer law and Ofcom regulation (to include updating these contracts from time to time)
  • Dependent on the selected candidate, we may look to undertake our legal construction contract work in-house (NEC3)
  • Maintenance and management of commercial contract precedents and templates (such as our standard T&Cs)
  • Managing the outsourcing of commercially significant matters/contracts or specialised work to external counsel and presentation of advice/conclusions internally
  • Advise on various day to day ad hoc issues facing the company including in relation for example to corporate work, employment law advice and handling items of litigation
  • Leading on company secretarial matters, such as filings at Companies House and board minutes
  • Maintaining and updating key legal policies, procedures, and processes (such as GDPR, the purchase order process and the internal contract review process).

Based in the Central London with the option of working from home 2-3 days a week if required, you will be keen to join rapidly expanding company with a collegiate and inclusive culture.
