World leading engineering company that has been involved in the construction of a significant number of major infrastructure projects within EMEA in recent years, requires a senior Legal Counsel due to an increased workload. Reporting to the Head of Legal for EMEA, you will be given responsibility for key projects and undertake overseas travel that can often be at short notice.

The role will involve primarily:

* Provision of high quality, independent, timely solutions-orientated legal and commercial advice in a cost-effective manner* Participating in the preparation of tenders* Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating high value EPC and project management contracts* As lead project lawyer, proving support during execution of assigned projects and managing associated disputes* Interfacing with local counsel in relevant jurisdictions and gaining an understanding of the legal environment where projects are located* Building relationships with client's legal teams* Managing branches and entities in relevant jurisdictions

About you

* Common law qualified with excellent academics and a successful track record wither in a law firm, or in a senior in-house position with ideally 10+ pqe a* Strong construction experience - especially with EPC contracts being preferred * Strong transactional experience* Flexible, resilient and a sense of humour* Enthusiasm for the construction and engineering sector* Interest in international travel and a willingness and ability to travel overseas at short notice Currently wither working in-house or at a leading law firm, you will be keen work in-house on large infrastructure projects. Candidates who have a projects or project finance background will also be strongly considered, as will candidates of a lesser pqe with the gravitas and experience equal to a 10 pqe + lawyer.
