I have been meaning to write to you for some time to express my thanks to your firm, but more particularly to Sarah Gorman. Through Sarah I took up the post of Head of IP at a firm in Leicester. Throughout my dealings with the firm, Sarah was very proactively involved and she kept me regularly informed in an attentive and helpful way. I can't imagine any other recruitment professional doing a better or more conscientious job for a candidate than Sarah. Such was her attention to clients' needs that she even sent me details of estate agents and flats available in Leicester, knowing that Leicester was uncharted territory for me. I have had contact with legal recruitment professionals on a number of occasions throughout my career and I can say, without any exaggeration, that Sarah stands out head and shoulders above anyone I have dealt. In due course I expect to be looking to add assistants to the IP team and the first (and probably the only) person I will contact will be Sarah. Please send my very best wishes and thanks to Sarah. ------------------------------------------------------------
“I just wanted to drop you a line to thank you for all your work, support and assistance over the past few months.
As you know I have just started my tutorial week at my new job and all seems to be going well, so far! The team have welcomed me in and the firm are very friendly generally.
I really do appreciate all your hard work and realise you went to great lengths to help me, so thank you again. I have been recommending you to all the people I have spoken to recently!
Best wishes and kind regards”

“Thank you for all your hard work and support over the past few months – its hard enough trying to find a new job, never mind in a different discipline and new area of the country!
I'm sure that I'll be happy at my new firm for some time.
Many thanks again”

“I was very impressed with the knowledgeable, friendly approach taken by the consultants at Chadwick Nott. They were aware of my wish to change my area of specialism, and were very encouraging from the word go. I am now extremely happy in my new role".

“I just wanted to drop you a quick line to say that I'm very grateful for all your help in getting my CV around and getting an interview for me.
You were the most helpful and effective of all the recruitment agents I encountered and I will definitely keep you in mind next time or if anyone I know wants to move firms.
Take care”

“Chadwick Nott came to my attention shortly after they set up in London and during the time I was Managing Partner of a top City Firm I used them extensively for recruitment at all levels.
Subsequently when I needed somebody to represent me personally in finding alternative opportunities Chadwick Nott acted on my behalf and these comments are based on that experience.
The first point that I would like to make about Chadwick Nott is that they are refreshingly unusual in my opinion, in that they listen very carefully to what it is you ask them to do and they spend the time to ask questions until they completely understand what that is.
Having invested the time in listening and understanding they then act on those instructions and stick to their remit without wasting time on inappropriate approaches and opportunities. That is not to say that they will not try to test the scope of the candidate's aims by suggesting opportunities and approaches which the candidate may not have previously considered but having agreed a course of action they tend to stick to it.
I have found them to be very knowledgeable about the legal market generally and they are also able to elicit extremely good information about particular firms and positions when this has become necessary. I suspect one of the reasons that they are so knowledgeable and find it relatively easy to obtain information is that from my experience, and I have met a good cross section of their staff, they are universally nice people to deal with and easy to talk to.
I have particularly found them helpful at the detailed negotiation stage and their approach to structuring deals is often innovative and refreshing.
Finally, I have found them to be tenacious without ever becoming “pushy”.
If I had to highlight one particular area which impresses me about Chadwick Nott it is their ability to listen and their preparedness to take time to fully comprehend the candidate's aims.”

“Since joining my current firm in 2001 we have really rationalised our panel of external recruitment consultants, as in the past we found that quite simply we had too many and we wanted to work with people that really understood what we wanted. Since that time, Chadwick Nott have provided a number of Partners and fee-earners for us. Some of these requests have been extremely difficult for them and they have always been very prompt in their turnaround time and challenging in the way they question our briefs. I think really, the fact that they have managed to place a number of people with us in key positions speaks for itself.
In fact, at a recent breakfast meeting I compared them to other recruitment agents and I said that one of the things they were successful at doing, was building a team around the firm and they really try and understand the pressures of the individuals with whom they are interacting, are under. In my own case, they do push me, but in a nice way, which is something that I need. They are never rude, but they do make sure that my firm does not miss out on the types of opportunities that are out there, even if we don't know about them beforehand.
I actually think they deserve the profile they have got at the moment. I am convinced that if you were to ask me to write this biography in three years time then they probably will be the leader in their field. Their no-nonsense approach is refreshing.”

“Some recruitment firms are like bad estate agents before the introduction of sellers' packs. Their mission is just to shift stock. Only the product in their case is not dodgy flats or “characterful gems”. It's something far more valuable to professional services firms – and that's people.
As a law firm, our brand promise to the market is quite simple: it's just: more understanding. It means that we develop our business by understanding our clients' businesses and helping them achieve their business objectives. This is precisely the relationship we have with Chadwick Nott. They understand our business as well as our senior management team and they have helped it to grow, often in a way that we might not have considered ourselves. They are not just shifting units or filling gaps – they are providing us with business opportunities through people. And that is the value they bring to our business”.
