Team profile
Louise Howard
Louise Howard heads up our in-house division. A qualified solicitor, she practised commercial litigation in law firms in the UK and Australia prior to her move into recruitment.
Joining Chadwick Nott in 2000, Louise spent five years placing solicitors at all levels in private practice roles across the Midlands and South East at senior consultant level before setting up a specialist in-house division.
She now services vacancies on a contingency, retained, advertising and search basis nationwide. She works across a wide variety of industry sectors on a permanent and fixed term contract basis.
She offers clients and candidates pragmatic, commercial advice.
Outside work, Louise enjoys hill walking and mountain biking.

Justin Nott
Joint head and co-founder of Chadwick Nott, Justin has been involved in legal recruitment since 1992. He specialises in partner and team moves, mergers and acquisitions, recruitment brand building and law firm consultancy UK-wide. He’s also had wide exposure to in-house recruitment as head of our industry and commerce services.
Justin is a keen sportsman with particular interest in rugby and golf.

Charles Elderton
Charles is a Director of Chadwick Nott who has specialised in legal recruitment since 1995. Previously he practised as a Solicitor with Eversheds. He is a former Chairman of Bristol's TSG and YSG.
He is a hands-on recruiter who understands the needs and drivers of candidates and clients alike. He is recommended in The London Professional Recruitment Guide for his 'experienced and civilised approach'. He has led and grown Teams recruiting in London, the Regions and Internationally.
He has successfully secured numerous high profile moves for Partners, Teams and Associates. His contacts at Chief Executive, Managing Partner, Head of Department and Director of HR level are impressive. He has a strong portfolio of successful recruitment advertising assignments for both private practice and in-house clients.
Outside of work Charles enjoys running half marathons, skiing, DIY and is slowly developing his skills as a magician!

Brian Littleton
Brian is a hands-on recruiter with 6 years experience of recruiting lawyers in-house across a range of sectors both in the UK and in Europe; who understands the key commercial drivers of any legal hire and the motivations of clients and candidates alike.
Brian joined Chadwick Nott in 2009 and previously worked for a specialist international recruiter for several years. He has serviced vacancies from first moves into in-house at the junior level through to General Counsel on a contingent, retained advertised selection and search basis.
Outside of work, Brian enjoys playing hockey and tennis, skiing, theatre, the countryside and supporting Gloucester RFC.
